For a price of $249, the QuarterHorse delivers in unparalleled fashion. The QH plugs into the J3 port like a ordinary chip, but it allows bumpless, 100% realtime tuning AND datalogging while the engine is operating for all supported EEC-IV and EEC-V applications. You can log ANY parameter in RAM from the EEC-IV and V ECM at sample rates well over 20 frames per second. All necessary cabling is included, but software is sold separately. No software is included with the QuarterHorse.

You can find a list of what we know works with what on our support site.

This is NOT an all inclusive comprehensive kit. You will need to get additional items to be able to tune with this hardware. Please contact us if you need help determining what you need for your vehicle.

Great Product That Fulfills a Critical Need

The Quarterhorse is a must-have for tuning earlier (EEC IV and EECV) Ford ECUs. Being able to data log with older pre-OBD2 ECUs is revolutionary, not to mention the ability to update settings on the fly. It was truly a game changer when it came out, and it still is. Thank you Team Moates!

    Excellent product

Took out my Quarterhorse after 7yrs in the car to replace the 3v QH battery as a precautionary measure. Car has not been in storage for 3yrs. But to my surprise, the original one still reads 2.97v. Like new. I put it back in. What an awesome product. Thank you.

    Love the Live Data

Love it so far. Haven’t been able to fully tune it but it’s allowed me to turn off the Thermactor control on my 95 F150 5.0 but also see plain as day that I have a misfire through the live data! Hopefully I’ll be able to fully use the full tuning portion of it soon.
